All hackle technique

One of my new techniques for hackling with any type or size of hackle including partridge, wood duck, teal, Coq di Leon etc. This technique is so new that I haven’t had a opportunity to fish with it yet but it floats extremely well, presenting emergers beautifully. I haven’t found a name for this technique yet so I thought I would have a little competition! If my subscribers suggest a name I will choose one and the winner will receive a fly box and a selection of my flies!

The Awesome Opossum Shrimp

One of my semi realistic feather and fur salt water shrimps, that requires a couple of techniques but is relatively easy to tie. Once in the water the shrimp is very mobile pulsating and swimming making it a real attractor pattern.

Thanks, Thanks and Thanks again!

Cookshill Killer

This is a streamer I recently designed for Steve Cooper who runs BFFI (British Fly Fair International ) and is owner of Cookshill fly tying materials. Steve asked me to make a pattern for the BFFI 2017 show. With the show being located in Staffordshire, famous for it bone china and porcelain production, Steve has a commemorative coffee mug made each year, the 2017 mug will be adorned with a photo of ‘Cookshill’s Killer. If you don’t know Steve’s web shop please take a look, some of the best natural materials around, most of which Steve prepares himself… If you haven’t already visited BFFI its well worth a visit, loads of great local and international tyers and tons of fly tying related stands.
