One of John Goddard’s lesser known but extremely effective patterns. The original JG emerger used a brown and grizzle hackle mixed for the parachute here I use only a brown dyed grizzle along with a special technique for splitting the wings.

Your technique of splitting the para post is quite impressive! Looks great when completed as well. I have one question on your material list … is there a difference between Antron Body Wool and Antron Yarn? I’m not familiar with the former but I have several colors of the latter.
Thanks Darrell, no difference between body wool and yarn both are Antron and work in the same way.
This is a really nice pattern to tie and has a lot of flexibility in the colors it can be tied in. One small trick that I stumbled upon accidentally is to tie the second clump of Para Post slightly off-center. This makes the wings easier to separate by allowing you to grab the longer half and pulling it to one side before lifting the first clump up over the top and down the middle between the two wings.
