Rheos polarized fishing Sunglasses

Polarized fishing sunglasses are the most important fisherman’s tool

COMFORT

Delightfully lightweight in all the right places. Our featherlight lenses provide long-lasting comfort while still maintaining a substantial hand feel for the lens and frame. Say goodbye to tension headaches.

STRENGTH

Outstanding impact-resistance. Our nylon lenses hold up against the toughest adventures and are rated alongside the most durable lenses in the market. And for even the most extreme circumstances you can rely on our Saltwater Promise

How do polarized lenses work?

Light is made up of waves traveling in different directions. Vertical light is useful to the human eye; it helps us see. But when light strikes a flat surface, such as a lake, snow, or even your car or boat windshield, it changes to horizontal light and creates a glare. Polarized sunglasses block horizontal light, so you don’t see the glare. And nobody likes glare. It’s just about that simple.

Why is 100% UV -ray protection so important?

The most harmful sun rays are those above 400 nanometers. Our lenses are carefully designed to protect all UVA and UVB rays that are above 400. Over time these rays can cause long-term, irreperable damage to your eyes!

What is anti-fog for sunglasses?

Our premium lenses include a finish of dual-sided anti-fog coating. Lenses are susceptible to fogging in moments of highly-contrasted temperatures (such as walking from indoors to outside, or sweating while it is cold outside). With our anti-fog coating, the frames will detect the fogging of the lenses and quickly — and automatically — clear the lenses so you do not need to remove them and do it yourself.

What are anti-scratch lenses?

We built our lenses to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use. An anti-scratch coating helps to ensure they will be as good as new from adventure to adventure. With glass-like clarity, Nylon Optics lenses give you the protection you need without the risk of shattering glass near your eyes. Our frames are comprised of a thermoplastic that starts as a solid material in the form of small pellets. In a lens manufacturing process called injection molding, the pellets are heated to 500 degrees until they melt. Compressed in extreme pressure scenarios the lens is complete in less than five minutes. Because of this unique process, Nylon Optic lenses are much more impact-resistant than both regular glass and other plastic lenses. These materials are relatively “soft” — which means they can absorb energy without lens-fracturing. It is also the lightest lens material made and yet offers far greater impact resistance than glass or plastic.

Biggest innovation in lenses since polarization Rheos Sunglasses

All Rheos shades are outfitted with the latest innovation in sunglass technology: Nylon Optics. No Better Lens. No Better Price. Our Nylon Optics capture all the benefits of a glass and polycarbonate lens without the drawbacks. The only way to see and feel the difference is to try them. These lenses are clearer than glass and light enough to be the most comfortable sunglasses to ever grace your face. This technology allows us to develop optics of the highest quality and class at an accessible price point like no one else in the world.
