During the weekend 11-12 November 2023 I will be attending the worlds largest fly tying show, The International Fly Tying Symposium.
It will be a busy weekend, I will be doing classes, demos, tying and signing my last two books all day Saturday and Sunday, along with a great lineup of international fly tyers. So put the date in your calendar and I look forward to seeing you there.
On Saturday at 11:30-12:30. 11 November I will be doing a Featured tyers spot ‘Parachute Perfect’ Here Barry will be demonstrating many very different parachute hackling techniques for the perfect parachute hackle.
On Saturday at 15:00-15:45. 11 November I will be doing a seminar ‘All from wool and a feather duster’ A fly tyers journey. Barry has been a professional fly fishing photographer and fly tyer for over 35 years. This chosen profession has taken him to over 40 different countries and 5 continents, resulting in 16 fly tying and fly fishing books and contributions to over 40 more. Barry invites you to join him on a stunningly visual snapshot tour of this journey.
On Sunday at 08:30-11:00. 12 November I will be doing a Tying Class, ‘Master Class Techniques’. Here Barry will teach over a dozen masterclass techniques in only two patterns, a mayfly nymph and a mayfly dun. Once mastered, these techniques will substantially improve your overall fly tying. Barry will provide all hooks and materials required for the class.
