A very interesting pattern that puts deer hair to good use for both the body and the wing post.
Often used on a # 6 XL hook for the great Hex hatch, but tied on smaller sizes it works well for most mayflies as with this # 12 yellow may here.

Regan’s Mayfly Spinner recipe
- Hook: Mustad R43 #12
- Tying thread: Sheer brown 14/0
- Tail: Pheasant tail fibres
- Body/ post: Yellow deer hair
- Hackle: Yellow grizzle
- Thorax: Peacock herl
- Wings: Two hen hackle tips.
It seems like a fairly different fly pattern to tie but certainly worth it at the end.
