Barry, I cannot claim ownership of the pattern… Alan Hill showed me his pattern which included 2 twists of orange Veniard micro-chenille… when we were in Dublin… the 100% Bug-Bond egg was then shown to me at the Glasgow Angling Centre a year ago by one of the lads there. The egg has now been documented by Hywel Morgan in his recent DVD of River patterns. I have however, modified the GAC original and am pleased that you were inspired by my egg. Best regards, David
No problem David, I actually made a ‘sperm covered egg fly’ with melt glue about fifteen years ago, although not quite as realistic as this one, still much the same. Thanks again for the BB and inspiration…
