This is a variant on one of my early melt glue patterns for a large flying Carpenter ant. A quick and very realistic pattern that is easy to master.
- Hook: Ahrex FW511 # 12
- Thread: Black
- Body: Black hot glue
- Head: Black hot glue
- Wings: Two dun hackle tips
- Hackle: Brown
